Where the effort goes
Every stem, option and explanation has to be supported by the document you uploaded. The model is not allowed to invent facts, examples or conclusions — a question that reads well but isn't in your paper is worse than no question at all.
All nine standard question types, including sentence insertion and prose summary — the two most often done badly. Distractors are built the way real ones are, not padded out with three obvious wrongs.
Wrong and flagged questions are collected automatically and grouped by type, so you can see which of the nine keeps costing you points — and retry exactly those, instead of generating another random set and hoping.
The obvious question
Any capable model will produce ten questions about a paper if you ask. What it won't produce is the part that makes practice count: fixed question proportions, a clock, and a record of what you got wrong.

Before you sign up
A PDF of a paper, or pasted text. PDFs are extracted on the server, so figure captions and reference lists don't end up in the passage. There is an upper limit on length — an oversized document is rejected with the number, rather than silently truncated, so you can split it and submit one section at a time.
The standard academic reading format used by the major English proficiency tests: passages of roughly 700–800 words, ten questions drawn from nine question types, about eighteen minutes per passage. Paper2Exam is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any testing organisation.
Because that is the one rule the generator isn't allowed to break — and because you can check it yourself. Every explanation carries the sentence it was drawn from, and the review screen puts that sentence next to the passage. A question that reads well but isn't in your paper is worse than no question at all.
It's stored under your account so the exam stays reproducible, and its text goes to the model provider that writes the questions. It is not used to train anything, it is not shared with anyone else, and the site carries no advertising or analytics trackers. The privacy page lists exactly what is stored and who processes it.
That is the case it was built for. The interface is in English and 中文; the passages and questions are always in English, because English reading is the thing being practised.
